What is facial fat transfer?
Facial fat transfer is a technique that allows you to add volume to different areas of the face using your own fat as a filler, through the Coleman technique.
Using your own fat eliminates the need for synthetic or semi-synthetic materials, which can cause complications such as extrusion or foreign body reactions, and subsequent rejection.
The results obtained with autologous fat grafting are highly satisfactory, both in aesthetic and reconstructive cases, whether using small or large amounts.
Due to the versatility of the technique and the long-term durability of the volume achieved, we consider that one's own fatty tissue meets all the requirements to be the preferred method for treating volume loss, as well as for the reshaping and repair of various body parts.
What does the procedure involve?
For this intervention, we use the Body-Jet Lipotransfer system to extract fat from your abdomen, or from the inner thighs or knees.
By extracting the fat using water pressure, the post-operative period is much less painful, and the quality of the extracted fat is high.
This fat is then washed and centrifuged before being injected into the desired facial area through small incisions (1 or 2).
