What is abdominoplasty?
Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure aimed at reshaping the abdomen by removing excess skin and fat, while tightening the abdominal muscles. This helps achieve a flatter, firmer, and more toned stomach.
One of the most common cases for this procedure is post-pregnancy, which often involves abdominal muscle distension, weight fluctuations, and hormonal changes, all contributing to an unappealing or deformed abdomen. This can further impact women by lowering their self-esteem.
What does the procedure involve?
Abdominoplasty involves removing the skin and fat below the navel, aiming for greater harmony, proportion, and skin firmness. The length of the incision will depend on the degree of skin laxity and the patient's level of obesity.
During the procedure, weakened abdominal muscles are tightened, creating a firmer abdominal wall. Once the surgery is complete, the navel is repositioned according to the new contour of the skin.
La cicatriz quedará totalmente disimulada por la ropa interior.
Se realizará la plicatura de los músculos rectos abdominales que se han separado y si es preciso se añadirán otras plicaturas para mejorar la cintura.
