Hands-On Lipedema Surgery Course

What the course is
An intensive, practice-oriented programme for doctors who want to add lipedema surgery to their clinical practice.
Over two days you take part in live lipedema surgery on legs, thighs and arms using Water-Assisted Liposuction (WAL) together with BodyTite/Quantum technology, which tightens the skin and improves the surgical outcome. Theoretical sessions run alongside the operating list and cover diagnosis, treatment, safety and postoperative management.
Places are limited to ten participants. That number is deliberate: it is what allows everyone to be at the table and to get direct feedback, rather than watching a screen at the back of the room.
Take an active role in the surgical sessions under the direct supervision of Dra. Ana Torres.
Follow each case in detail, from preoperative planning through to closure.
Discuss the cases of the day in small-group theoretical sessions.
Receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course.
Sessions with the faculty
Diagnosis, staging, patient selection, surgical safety and postoperative management, worked through in a small group and against the cases being operated that day.
Live surgery
Participants scrub in and work on legs, thighs and arm contouring with WAL and BodyTite/Quantum, following each case from the preoperative plan through to closure.

Travel and accommodation are not included. Once your place is confirmed we send you a list of the hotels closest to Centro Médico Teknon, so booking is straightforward.

Who the course is for
The course is designed for doctors who already work in body contouring, and for those who want to add lipedema surgery to their practice. Participants take an active role during the surgical sessions, so we confirm eligibility individually with each applicant before a place is closed.
Access to the operating room at Centro Médico Teknon follows the hospital’s own accreditation requirements. Doctors practising outside Spain are welcome to apply; taking part remains subject to the regulatory framework of the country where each participant practises.
